Product Details

Depending on the nature of their employment, certain hazmat employees have duties and responsibilities involving more than one mode of transportation. When these responsibilities involve transportation of Limited Quantity hazardous materials by air, ground, and vessel, employers must provide their employees with Limited Quantity training in the applicable modes of transportation before those employees can begin performing their duties and working with the hazardous materials / dangerous goods in any capacity.

Hazmat University provides online Limited Quantity training for each mode of transportation respectively and combined. For employers and employees involved in the transportation of hazardous materials in Limited Quantities by more than one mode, we also provide online multimodal options, including multimodal air, ground, and vessel training. The Limited Quantity training modules from the separate Limited Quantities courses for air, ground, and vessel training are combined to provide a comprehensive Limited Quantity training program for air, ground, and vessel, and at a lower cost than if you purchase the courses separately. If your dangerous goods responsibilities encompass air, ground, and vessel transportation of Limited Quantities, you can successfully complete the required IATA, 49 CFR, and IMDG Limited Quantity training with our online multimodal option.

This Limited Quantity course provides the required initial or recurrent training to participants involved with the shipping, handling, and/or transport of dangerous goods in Limited Quantities by air, by ground, and by vessel. Dangerous goods by air training is based on the current requirements outlined in the ICAO Technical Instructions, as contained in the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA DGR), as authorized by Title 49 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (49 CFR). Limited Quantity training for shipping hazardous materials by ground incorporates the current requirements as outlined in 49 CFR. Limited Quantity training for shipping dangerous goods by vessel incorporates the current requirements as outlined in the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG Code), as authorized by Title 49 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (49 CFR). This course complies with the initial and/or recurrent training requirements of 49 CFR Part 172, Subpart H, Section 172.704, the IATA DGR, and the IMDG Code for transportation of Limited Quantities by air, by ground and by vessel.

Included in this course at no additional cost are General Awareness and Security Awareness.

Employees who have undergone initial or recurrent Limited Quantity training in the past are required by law to undergo recurrent Limited Quantity training at least every two years for air, in accordance with the international air regulations, and at least every three years for ground and vessel training according to 49 CFR and the IMDG Code.
